Important Info

Please read the information below to make your Bunny Trail experience go as smoothly as possible.

Event Location – We’ll announce the location for 2022 closer to the event dates.

Event Schedule – The 5K run/walk will begin at 8:00 a.m.

Advance Packet Pickup – Packets will be available on Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the event location.  Each packet will include a race number, shirt (if registered by deadline), sponsor and local event information.  You MUST have your race number on your person to participate in the 5K run/walk.  

Race Day Check-in / Packet Pickup – If you are not able to pickup your race packet on Friday, you can check-in upon arrival to pickup your packet.  You MUST have your race number on your person to participate in the 5K run/walk.  

Registration – Online registration closes the night before the event.  On-site/race day registration will be available from 7:00 a.m. until 7:45 a.m., at the registration table.  We’ll have a canopy and a table setup for registration/check-in.  The race day price is $35. 


Course – The trails have been groomed and the route marked with yellow caution tape and other markings.  We will have volunteers along the route to help cheer you on and guide your way as well. Please remember, this is an off-road, trail course.  There are roots, stumps and other tripping hazards along the way.  While we try to mark major obstacles, I’m sure some will be missed.  Please keep a close eye on your footing at all times.  If you’re pushing a stroller, please pay extra attention while on the trails.  Follow all course markings and if you have a question while on the course, find a volunteer.  They’ll do their best to help you or call someone that can.  

Silent Auction – We will have a small silent auction available.  Details are pending, but please look for information when you arrive on Saturday morning.

Awards & Post Race Activities – Following the 5K, we will announce the overall winners and age/gender specific winners.  Please stick around to see if you earned a medal!  Race results will also be posted online.  Once available, an email will be sent out with the details.

Photos – We will have a photographer on the course snapping photos.  These will be made available to all participants by way of our website, http://bunnytrail5k.com


Boy Scout Donuts – Have you ever had our famous Boy Scout Fresh Hot Apple Cider Donuts?  They are AMAZING.  We’ll be making them fresh on-site.  Bring a few extra dollars and try 1 (or 5).

This fundraising event will help us generate the vital funding we need to continue to support our Troop’s annual program.  For more than 17 years, Troop 239 has trained youth in responsible citizenship, character development, and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities, educational programs, and, at older age levels, career-oriented programs in partnership with community organizations.
