FAQ

Why are you having this event?
This is a fundraising event for Troop 239. Boy Scout Troops are volunteer run and self sustaining financially. Also, the Boy Scout Oath and Law have aspects of fitness and staying healthy. What a great way to show this by hosting and participating in a community event.

Where is the event?
Approximately 3 miles east of Lake Geneva, on Hwy 50.
The event address is:
6495 State Road 50
Lake Geneva, WI 53147

Can I bring a stroller or wagon?
Yes, however, the trails can be steep and slanted at times, please line up at the back of the starting group and use extreme caution, this is an off road 5K that will challenge even the best runners.

Can I bring my dog or pet?
Pets are not permitted at the event.

Is there parking?
Yes, ample parking is available on the property, look for signage or a volunteer guiding you.

You mentioned the Boy Scout Oath and Law? What are they?
Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Yes, please follow the registration link on the event page, or click here.

If I don’t register early, will I still get a t-shirt?
Race shirts are expensive, we will have a small number of race shirts available for those who register on-site, the day of the event. You are not guaranteed a shirt, unless you register online.

What happens if it rains or snows?
This is a rain/snow or shine event. April in Wisconsin is unpredictable weather wise, it might snow, it might rain or it might be 60 degrees and sunny. As Boy Scouts, we’re used to being in the elements and we hope you enjoy it too. Dress for the weather and come out for a fun time.

Will I get a refund if it rains or snows or otherwise isn’t perfect weather?
There are no refunds for this event. As stated above, weather in Wisconsin is unpredictable and we’re ready to ensure Mother Nature and we hope you are too.
